herpes scare???

I had unprotected sex with my new partner. She had done all sti tests except for herpes. All other test were negative. I started experiencing pain in the urethra 2 days after sex which lasted about 6 weeks. i confronted her and she confessed that she had genital herpes but never had an outbreak for 2 years. The pain lasted about 6 weeks. Not very painfull but alot of discomfort. It was not painfull when l urinated and at times felt better wen l was urinating. The pain is back after 2 months. Not very painfull but discomfort, not painfull when urinating. Never had any blisters or sores. I have done all sti test except herpes. When we had sex it was rough en since then l have never had sex. I have been masterbating at least twice a day.

Hi also. discomfort inside the urethra would be more related to an STD or even a UTI which is a urinary track infection vrs having herpes. Having a herpes outbreak inside the urethra is not common for first time infection but more for recurrent outbreaks also it would be very painful to have an open active herpes sore inside the urethra esp when toxic urine comes in contact with the sore.

Most often symptoms of STD,s in the urethra would be accompanited with a white penis discharge that shows up esp in the morning before you urinate. If your having urethra discomfort and its producing a clear discharge this would be more in the lines of a UTI as the body is producing mucus to sooth the inflamed tissues.
You really need to see a doctor for some testing and a swab of the inside may shed light on to whats causing the discomfort.

What type of herpes is it?  Hsv1 or hsv2.   If it's hsv1 then the odds of transmission from the genital region are a lot less because hsv1 sheds less in the genital area.    If it's hsv2 the your risk of transmission is higher as hsv2 sheds more genitally.

Did you experience a fever?  Most of these symptoms don't sound herpes related?

The best thing to do is get tested to know for sure.    An igg test is the most accurate.  Without blisters or lesions it may not be herpes, but getting tested is the best thing to do.
