herpes scare

i have herpes. i used a douche about a week ago. i refilled it with water and set it back down in the shower. my roommate unknowingly used the same one because she thought it was new. im scared for her. please someone help me. what are the chances that she'll contract it? when i used it i did not have an outbreak at the time. would the virus be dead before she used it???? how long would herpes survive on it?

I think this is more of an eeeeeeewwwwww factor than a risk for herpes transmission.

Douching on a regular basis is not recommended as it disrupts the normal flora in the vagina.

yes i know. but i wanted to be extra clean and decided to try it. when i first found out it happened i was GROSSED out. but im even more worried about her safty and our friendship.

According to your other post it was 5 days later - this is no risk from a herpes standpoint though other infections could still be viable and able to be transmitted.
