herpes simplex oral sex

My girlfriend had what turned out to be a cold sore.  I thought it had gone away and let her give oral sex before regular sex.  Then I noticed that the sore had not completely healed. There was still a small sore at the corner of the mouth. She had gotten this sore about 10 /14 days before at which time it was pretty ugly but thought it was something else.
However, she tests positive for HSV1.  I was negative . Don't know about now.  What are the risks of getting HSV1 on the penis?

Odds are she wasn't shedding the virus at this point. Unless you get obvious cold sores or obvious genital symptoms, I wouldn't worry about this.
