herpes transmission from female to male

Hi. I have been having unprotected sex w/ my partner fro about 2 months.  I had a brazillian wax about a month ago and have had wierd bumps as the hair grows back, I'm not sure if they look like ingrown hairs or kind of bumps.  They are located on the outside of my vj only were i shave.  nothing on the inside. They arent painful, dont itch or  anything, but have lasted longer than I would have thought for in ingrown hair.  I have had several problems with ingrown hairs in the past.  for some reason these bumps have been worrying me.  They are pretty much gone now, never bled or popped, but did sheda thin layer of dry skin.  Anyhow, I assumed they were ingrown hairs and had sex without a condom while i had them.  I want to know what the likelyhood is to pass herpes to my male partner. I would be devistated if something happened to him.  I waiting on an appointment for testing.
