I know some one who just had an small area near her butdoc. Had an culture done for herpes.
The test came back postive. She has only been with this man for 28 years, not been with any one
else. Never had anything like this before. So depress. Don't know what too do.

be supportive of your friend. also recommend terri warren's book "the good news about the bad news" to her too. it's written by our herpes expert here on medhelp and it's a wonderful book for someone newly diagnosed as having genital herpes.

also let her know how to find us :)

It's possible.  There are some instances where people don't have any symptoms for months or even years. Remember, most people with herpes don't know that they're infected because the symptoms are often mild and either ignored or mistaken for something else.
