herpes?

I had sex with a prostitute about a month or so ago. A condom was used. About 2 weeks ago, I started getting a rash on my upper thigh - but only the right side. It looked like a lot of pimples. I also had one pimple on the base of my penis, and another one on my groin. The pimples on the base of my penis went away after a few days, but some more showed up elsewhere on my groin. This second wave also went away after a few days, and a few more showed up in other areas of my groin. Meanwhile, the rash/pimples on my thigh turned red, but don't appear to be open sores. After about a week, some pimples also appeared on my upper thigh on the left side. Nothing hurts, but the rash itches a little at first and then goes away. One area on my right thigh appears chafed, possibly from this area rubbing skin-on-skin.

So...is this herpes, or possibly a heat rash, or something else? Any thoughts?

not one bit at all.  sounds like perfect conditions for a fungal infection!

Thanks Grace.  One thing I forgot to mention is that where my skin is chafed on my upper right thigh, the skin is broken in a couple of areas - but I suspect this is due to the skin here constantly being damp and rubbing against other skin.  Does this change your opinion at all?

odds are this isn't herpes going on. sounds like a fungal infection more than anything. see your provider for a proper exam to find out what is going on.
