about a year ago I had unprotected oral with someone from massage parlor it lasted about 2 seconds ...I was tested in November as I have been having prostate problems and was diagnosed with prostatitis. my results came back I was negative for hsv 2 ...at .015 and positive for hsv1 42.62... last couple of weeks I have been having pimples or what look like pimple on my butt cheeks ...my doctor said I have fungal infection but the pimples came after...is it possible this is herpes...I have a wife and don't want to pass anyting...the pimples are very close together one the top one on the bottom and one on right cheek two on left please help

Hi, testing postive for hsv1 would in almost all cases be oral from childhood so i would agree with your doctor that the pimples are fungal/bacterial. The risk of passing this to your wife would be from oral sex esp when you have an active lip sore at the time. I would advise that your wife get tested as well as if she also has hsv1 she would be basicly immune to contracting in the genital area. And if she is not, just be careful with oral if you have some lip tingling or an active lip sore or if you get one the next day after sex.
is there any reason that the hsv1 was so high? I do remember having cold sores and sores in my mouth as a child pretty bad at one point not being able to eat solid foods does that sound like that could have been herpes?...I haven't had a cold sore in a while that I can remember ...does fungal/bacterial infection cause pimples?
Ok thank you they are just red no pain or anything and haven't blistered I think it is just pimples

With such a brief encounter with her not having any lip sore, i would not think its herpes from the affair and would most likely be from childhood.
ok thank you so...you don't think I would have gotten hsv1 from the one oral in counter...this happened a year (February 2014) ago and was tested 9 months later (November 2014 ) sorry for all the questions just a little nervous
Most doctors would say that high number mean nothing time wise but those number represent antibody development which does not happen over night. and yes pimples are pore infections caused by bacteria similar to acne.
