herpes?

Ive had sharp pain/burning at the penis hole about 70%  of the time when I urinate for 8 weeks along with pain in region above my penis but below my stomach.  Initial symptoms were painful urination, frequent, and difficulty going.  STDs test were negative for HIV, Ghonneria, and chlamydia.  Doctor gave me doxycyclene without improvement and then gave me Azithromycin.  After this the frequency and difficulty going went away.  I still have the pain at the tip or penis whole.  No rash or visible sores at any point on my genitals or bloody urine.  Problem started after unprotected sex with a semi frequent partner roughly 8 weeks ago.  I have urology appt. soon but am afraid this might be herpes.

hey dude,

i had a similar problem. May I know if you are uncircumcised?
I was uncircumcised and I had a similar problem.  I was also ******* without a condom. I had to go through all tests and my doctor finally ruled out all possible STDs. and zeroed in on a possible fungal infection.. He recommended I get my boy circumcised.. Apparently, uncircumcised boys get this sort of stuff if careless

Doc thinks prostate is fine.  Did find white blood cells in urine but wants to do another to double check.  I have to wait a month until he is available to do a cystoscopy.  He thinks its a kidney issue and not std , I hope so.

I have some similar symptoms. Could be prostatitis. I'm on Flomax and Cipro for it. My uroligst thinks this is what I have but not sure.

There is no reason to suspect herpes here and testing will confirm this at 12 weeks. Keep pursuing bacterial issues, there are plenty of micoplasma bacteria that are not tested for.
