herpes

Hi, i just recieve my results on STD and it all came negative but it turn possitive on herpes simplex 1 Igc and in herpes simplex 2 Igc but not in Herpes simplex 1 and 2 Igm. What tipe of herpes are the Igc and should i be worried about it or this is the oral type?

Are you sure it was IgC and not IgG? What were the actual numbers for each? From reading these forums most of the time they say IgM tests on adults are worthless and shouldn't be counted for anything.

HSV-1 is typically the oral type and it's extremely common. You're in the minority if you *don't* have it. HSV-2 is also very common.

Post the numbers from your results if you have them and verify if they say IgG or IgC.
