About two years ago, my husband performed oral sex on me which only lasted about 10-15 seconds with very little friction.  About two days later, he got a cold sore on his lip.  He has oral hsv-1 but rarely gets them.  Could he have transmitted it to me? I havent had any symptoms since..

To put your worries into perspective, it took 5 long years of VERY frequent oral sex for my partner to transmit oral HSV1 to me genitally. He was asymptomatic that whole time too, only having had cold sores throughout his teenage years.

Do you know your own herpes status??? You could be worrying for nothing (well, you already are). 70% of the adult population has oral herpes. 1 in 4 women and 1 in 5 men have genital herpes; of those 90% don't even know it.
