herpeselect test 20 week

hey i had a herpeselct 6 weeks after exposure with a women who has herpes type 2
results were
Herpes type1 ------5.00 positve
Herpes type2------- 0.71 negative

Then 13 weeks
Herpes Type 1----5.00 positve
Herpes Type 2----0.73 Negative

Then 20 weeks later i did another herpeselct type specific ab
Herpes type 1----4.62 positve
Herpes type 2----0.65negative

But i herd people with type 1 take longer to turn positve for type 2 if infected so im wondering if these test r really accurate.

You can get tested again in another couple of months, but your risk of infection with one encounter is low. You don't even say whether or not you used a condom (decreases exposure further) or whether or not she was on antiviral suppression (decreases even further). According to the docs on the professional STD forum, your risk of contracting herpes from one encounter is something like 1 in 1,000, and it could be even lower than that.

I doubt you need to retest but if it makes you feel better, do it in 8 weeks or so.

There is no reason for any continued testing. You are negative 5 months out. It's time to put this behind you and move on.

Just a leg ache and no obvious lesions isn't likely to be a sign of herpes. Follow up on it with your provider to find out what is causing it.
