herpetic whitlow

I was wondering if herpetic whitlow is transferable from your own genitalia to your own hand without having any cuts or entry ways into your body?

I also know that the most common places for herpetic whitlow is in the finger tips. but what about only in the palm?

if you have a well established genital herpes infections, you are very unlikely to transmit it to your hands.

if you have a rash on the palm of your hands, follow up on it with your provider. no reason to automatically think whitlow.
