hsv 1 genital scare from one encounter

around two months ago, i had a one night stand with a guy i sort of knew. a few days later a friend told me he had herpes, and i was terrified. i didn't know what herpes was exactly. i didnt know it was something one could hace for life. i asked him about it and he told me he tested positive for hsv 1 at his routine doctors appointments but he had never had a cold sore. his doctor said that since he had such a strong immune system his chances of spreading were low. he does not take anti virals since he experiences no outbreaks. i read that there is only a slim chance i got this from just a single encounter, especially since he is asymptomatic. is that true? i got tested 11 days after exposure and was negative for hsv 1 and hsv 2, but i heard that it takes 3-6 months for results to come back positive. for these past two months ive been having on and off anxiety that i have it, since it is in fact possible. this month however ive had 3 sexual encounters with a girl i really care about a lot. she went down on me, knowing my whole situation. the first time i stopped her and told her "i dont want to give you herpes" she shrugged it off and told me i didnt have it, and continued. we have made out a lot since and she had gone down on me a total of 3 times but about a week ago i had a uti which i mistook for a herpes outbreak. even though it wasnt an outbreak, it still scared me and i started beating myself over letting this girl eat me out and makeout with me all the time. however i know i dont have oral hsv because i only really gave the guy with hsv 1 a small peck on the lips once. still, it could be possible that i gave it to this girl when she went down on me, and she spread it to my mouth through kissing me? i feel like im overthinking anyway since i read that genital hsv 1 barely sheds. also, for all i know, the guy i hooked up with earlier could have it on his genitals. also this girl could even have it. though she insists she does not have herpes, im still thinking of asking her to get tested since i am now aware of how many people have it. so just to make sure, what are the odds that i have it and gave it to this girl? i am 19 y/o female and she is 21 if that makes a difference.

But remember that hsv testing is not as accurate for hsv1 as it is for hsv2. It can miss hsv1

The only way to know your true status is to test at an appropriate time from the contact that you're concerned about... Most legitimate sources say from 12 to 16 weeks... No matter what other people recommend you deserve to know your own true status if you're concerned about it even if it was low risk...

Your odds of contracting hsv when no cold sore is present is very very slim. If you did you would surely know it. When someone with no other hsv infection contracts hsv1 on the genitals it almost always has a nasty primary outbreak. This happens within the first week to ten days. I really wouldn't worry about this as you surely did not contract it from your one time exposure. Experts won't even recommend testing from this incredibly low risk exposure. Believe you are fine because you are.
Hope this helps
