hsv 1 genital

this is for a friend..she has hsv 1 genital herpes and has not had an outbreak ince the first one which is over four years ago. she was wondering what the chances are she could pass this on too her boyfriend or if it is worth worrying about at all. he has hsv 1 oral already and experiences cold soars 1 or twice a year which shows he has immunity to the virus. any answers would be helpful thanks

If he for sure has type 1 cold sores, then it would be unlikely he would get a type 1 genital infection. So if both cases are type 1 (for certain) than they shouldn't have to worry at all.
