hsv 1 igg

I tested positive for hsv1 igg im trying to figure out who i got it from because it has been transferred to my genital area.i had two separate partners within the last year and one of them was 2 days b4 i started having symptoms but my doctor seems to think that it was to quick to start having symptoms. my question is what is IGG? i read that it means that i have had the virus for more than 2 months is this true? because if it is then it could only be one person. whats the difference between IGM and IGG?

yes you can start having symptoms 2 days post encounter.  at this point your partner will need tested to know his own status. can he recall ever having cold sores?
