hsv-1 outbreak or allergic reaction from maxi pad.

I was diagnosed with hsv-1 about four years ago in November and usually the outbreak appears on my left thigh. I had two outbreaks and then have been clear of any outbreaks since then. However recently I have been on my menstrual cycle and noticed a red, itchy and lumpy rash on my vaginal area. Where my maxi pad normally sits. I am just curious if this could be a reaction from the mAxi pad or could this be an actual outbreak. Please help need advice.

Okay so the rash never blistered. But have white flaky skin around it. Is this a sign of herpes outbreak

Most often outbreaks are in the same spot give or take an inch so your vaginal irritation would appear to be from the maxi pad.
