hsv1 and 2 results

Hi everyone i got my test results today and im kinda confused....my HSV1 >5.00 my dr says this is due to having cold sores as a child  AND HSV2 1.13 but he says that this could be a false positive  how likely is that?

It's very likely that your hsv2 is a false positive.

how long before this had you last had sex?

what triggered you to get tested>?

i havent had sex in almost 1 year ... I never thought to get tested untill recently after being tested for hiv ....all was fine with that ...someone close to me was tested positive for hsv2  so i thought what the heck i'll do it just to make sure...never had any symptoms...

oh it's almost certainly a false positive then. It's up to you if you even want to bother retesting .
