hsv2/ sunshine/ sports

by chilanga, Mar 05, 2009 11:09PM
I was just diagnosed with hsv2. I am confused, am I supposed to avoid sunbathing? rigorous sports? I am reading about herpes and it says to avoid coffee, nuts, chocolate. What about drinking every once in a while?
God! I am so afraid that I have to live a slow and delicate life now. Does any one recommend taking valtrex 500 daily? I am willing to do that if it means I will suffer less.
thank you

There is nothing you have to avoid because of herpes.  Read the herpes handbook - it's an accurate source of information.

There isn't a herpes diet either. The arginine/lysine theory never held up outside of the lab.

once you know your partner's status you can better decide if suppressive therapy is the best choice for you.
