sooo me and my boyfriend have been dating for about two years now on and off, so we both lost our virginity to each other we then broke up and he went on and had sex with another girl who was also a virgin, we got back together and we've been having sex some protected and some not, but I'm worried because just last week we had sex and now I'm beginning to notice bumps around my genital area it's not inside it's around it..I told him about it and he checked for any bumps and he has none is there be a possiblity I have herpes? or what is it?can we make herpes?

I would also encourage you both to get type specfic igg blood testing if you don't have active symptoms that can be cultured.  If his last encounter or your last sexual encounter with someone was 3+ months ago a IgG type specific test results will be pretty accurate.  Follow up with a provider.

okay, well I'll ask my doctor about this test and I'll update the news. I've been thinking it can also be genitial warts, but how what causes it?

Warts are caused by HPV typically.  THis is typically detected on your Pap smear.  However, I would be lying to you if I told you I knew a lot about that.  HPV info maybe asked in the STD forums as they will have a good idea there too.Vance is an awesome person and would know the best I am sure.

if she was a virgin, odds are this isn't a std. going to be seen sooner rather than later is the best thing to do though.
