i need to know it doesnt seem right

ok i had a lump on the shaft of my penis and i started to get a pain in my groin my penis started to increase in size after a few weeks but there was no soreness or cracking or any sort of cold sore like symptoms after a week, i went to a doctor and he said it might be herpes and he put me on some anti inflammatory pills and cream , i went along with the pills and cream and i never had a test , its back now but yet again i have no signs of soreness or cracking foreskin or any cold sores at all , just before i go back to the doctors does anyone have any idea what this could be ?¿ my testicles seem to be getting smaller when i ejaculate to , im a 19 year old male that eat moderatly healthy,exercises alot and i have stress and anxiety (from trauma that happened in the past) , please help me out (p.s. ive had white pimples on my penis and scrotum since i was a kid and they have never bothered me , i know there not herpes anyways)

Bumps can be anything.  See your provider for a work up.  The doctor can do a swab and culture/pcr test it.  Really they need to see the bump within 24-48 hours after it appears.  Bumps can be anything.
