i really need someone to help me with this one..

ok..so im just gonna explain the whole situation

basically...i have oral herpes i believe..my immune system is good..i rarely get outbreaks..etc. so its not a HUGE deal u know..but my lips got chapped and i got a blister..obviously its in my saliva..

i went down on my girl...the blister didnt touch her but obviously its in my saliva..she got it...she didnt get blisters...

i think she had cuts previous to that cause the night before or earlier before i did that we had real good sex and she got cut...

so basically the cuts started hurting and she has herpes now

what im wondering is..if she takes care of herself..rarely gets outbreaks etc. lets say she hasnt had 1 in a real long time..and we decide to have unprotected sex...is it THAT big of a risk? of me getting a outbreak down there...at least ONCE in a blue? jesus christ i cant take condoms..this is killing me

what if we wanna have a kid? i've read blogs online about couples who have sex without a condom and the girl hasnt had a outbreak in a real long time and had successful pregnancies..

is there a medicine that the girl can take that can prevent herpes from spreading..even without signs

If she got genital herpes from your oral herpes, that means you both have the same type of herpes (type 1), and its very unlikely that you will ever get genital herpes type 1 from her, or anyone.  As long as you avoid sex when she has symptoms, you are fine.

Also, herpes isn't a big deal for having a baby, unless the mother gets infected during her last 3 months of pregnancy, or she has an outbreak at delivery, at which time, they would just do a c-section.

and i know she wont give me type 1...but the chances of me getting type 2 is unlikely right

You can't get hsv2 unless your partner has hsv2.  

How was your partner diagnosed as having hsv1 genitally?  Was she seen and given medication or are you two just assuming this is what is going on?

She wasnt diagnosed..i went down on her and i have oral herpes and her cuts got worse and she was in a lot of pain and all the symptoms added up to genital herpes.

Yes, but if she has genital herpes from you performing oral sex on her, she would have genital herpes type 1.

The number doesn't mean the location.  It means the strain of the virus you have.

She should really see a doc about this.

ahh ok aj i got ya. it went away like a week ago..and everythings back to normal...we're waiting again to see if theres a outbreak or anything..then shell go to a doctor
