impact of intercourse
I sm 74 and just had my first obvious case of herpes.I am on third day of Valacyclovir and it seems to be working.
Now, I am also using Estrace for vaginal lubrication, but after not having sex for 2 weeks, afraid that the initial "impact" (shall we say) of intercourse might be creating an environment for the dormant herpes to act up.
Is this a possibility?

What did you mean by first obvious case of herpes? Have you tested previously for HSV? How has this outbreak been confirmed as herpes?
