infection??

hi, 4 months ago i got a yeast infection i took monistat one day and it was gone....a month later i got another one but otc meds did not work so i finally after almost a month went to a walk in clinic and was prescribed something stronger and it went away...i went to a water park and it came back again this time it is the worst its been i went back to walk in clinic and got the same meds but i stupidly skipped 3 nights but eventually finished the meds but its still here....i had got a yeast test and was negative im really starting to wonder if its herpes can someone please help me

also, i have no burning when urinating my vagina is itchy and then sore all over sometimes it feels like one side hurts then it swtiches to the other i also feel tingling all over like i did last time i had this

Have you been seen each time to be tested for fungal and bacterial infections? Have you ever been tested to know your herpes status?

Yeast infections can recur, and some folks are more prone to them. You need to be swabbed every time you are symptomatic like this - self-treating is no good.

i have hsv 1 and i got tested thru the internet with the igm test and was positive....

the igm test is a greatly flawed test for herpes and can't be used to diagnose you with herpes.

did you also get igg testing?

as petal already recommended, be seen every single time you think you have a yeast infection for proper testing to make sure it really is yeast going on at this point.

i will be getting the igg test on thursday when i see my doctor i got tested last November and was negative i just dont understand why i am continually getting this, its the 4th time its happened in 4 months almost....i continually tingle from the wait down now and sometimes in my arms im so sick of it i cant stand it i dont have health insurance right now so i have been going to a walk in clinic but have decided i will just pay the exxtra and go to my gyno i really hope i dont have herpes my life will be over my boyfriend will never forgive me if i do

Do you get cold sores? Cuz if you do that maybe why HSV 1 is positive.

no i have never had a cold sore in my life but my gyno says i have hsv1 i just hope i dont have hsv 2 :(

Well hsv 1 can be present in the vaginal region. Get the igg test to confirm that you do have it. Like they said before igm is flawed.

the igg blood test will tell you what you have, not where you have it.

it's not uncommon for women to get vaginal yeast infections frequency.

genital herpes will not make you sick each time it reoccurs and won't cause you to have symptoms in your arms. it also won't cause tingling all the time from the waist down. I recommend you see a regular medical provider at this point, not just a gyn for a full work up. odds are this has nothing to do with herpes.
