is an IGG test too early worthless?

does taking an IGG test too early make the test in accurate all together?
my results from the IGG are as follows

0.3 for hsv 2
and I swear to god he said 9.0 for hsv 1

now I know I have hsv-1 I had cold sores when I was a kid.
I took the test because I've felt itchy and wierd feelings in my legs not pain more like pins and needles or mild falling asleep/ heavy sensations. itchyness is just in butt crack kinda not too intense either no sores in boxer short area

if you only received oral sex, you weren't at risk for genital herpes. you already have hsv1 yourself which is the main risk from oral sex.

odds are this is a fungal issue going on. not unusual to have them in that area. Up to you if you want to be seen or just use an otc jock itch cream there for a week and see if that helps. also be sure to properly wash the area with soap and water and then dry it with your towel.

It's not inaccurate if you don't have herpes. And, if it's positive and you've let's say you tested right away after the sexual encounter in question, it would mean you had it prior to that encounter.

Realize that your body doesn't produce antibodies right away (which is what the test detects). In some folks, it may only take a couple weeks, in others a few months. Hence why we suggest testing at 3 months post-encounter.

9.0 for HSV1 is positive, but you know you've had cold sores so that makes sense.

None of your symptoms sound like herpes in the absence of any sores/lesions.

Hi, I took the IGG test waay to early ( like 6 days after possible exposer ) and got my results back
9.0 HSV-1
0.3 HSV-2
my Dr. also tested me for everything else under the sun and seems to think I'll be fine, it was a one time encounter, only oral as far as I can remember given and recieved. Im a 33 year old male.
now my question might be silly but is it possible that my HSV-1 number is so high because it is fighting HSV-2 infection or does it not work that way? I have felt run down a bit slight itching are butt crack, mild back pain, mild "leg asleep" feelings no blisters, just super worried, also slight sore throat

You already have HSV1 and get cold sores. The IgG number means absolutely nothing aside from you being positive. It won't tell you how long you've had it, it doesn't correlate to severity, nor is it high from the reason you stated.

Your symptoms are not those of herpes. They are, however, ones that can manifest from anxiety.

How long does the "prodome" symptom of itching last? I have had this itch at the top of my buttocks  for about 5-7 days, its in the crack and about 3 inches down. its not like oh my god this itches so bad but more of a annoying itch on and off, no redness no sores.  Sorry so many questions just cant remember a itch like this before. and is that typical of a GH infection

I'm back and still freaking out! So I used the OTC fungal cream and it did help with the itching I still have some itching but nothing like it was before, barely at all now. As of lately I have had some wierd mild pains/ tingle in the head of my penis (right side) not itchy just a wierd feeling then goes away and returns can be gone for hours to the point where I forget about it then comes back this has been happening for the last 24 hours. No sores, might be discoloration but it might be my mind playing tricks on me. All these things have been going on for exactly 24 days now. Can herpes onset take this long and be like this? Itching in one place then wierd pain in another ? Does this pain on my penis tip sound like the start of a outbreak? Thanks  sorry for the questions just really scared.
