is it herpes

i had a raised, red, vessicular lesion on my chest that looked like it had pus in it.  it occurred singly.  about two weeks prior, i did have unprotected sex with a girl who has since told me she had genital HSV-1.  i have never had any genital lesions.  since the first lesion on my chest appeared i have had 2-3 other similar lesions on my chest and near my clavicle appear singly and then resolve.  these lesions look to me like herpes.  given that i haven't had any genital lesions is it likely that i have genital hsv that recurs on my chest, or is this perhaps herpes gladiotorum that i might have gotten from rubbing up against her?

what are the risks of transmission - both from intercourse and rubbing my chest up against my current girlfriend during sex?

is valtrex effective in preventing transmission of herpes gladiatorum?

thanks.
