is it herpes or something else
so recently i had sex with one of my xs that has only had sex with 3 or 4 people all whom i know.
friday, i started getting pain down there and i just figured i had a urinary tract infection so i started the whole drinking cranberry juice like crazy thing.
now i have uncomfortableness and i have been tested for HSV but i seriously can't wait that long because the results take 5 days.
my partner told me he got tested and came back clear for even herpes.
i have multiple bumps but they don't pop or anything like that,
i do have edema on my legs and my mom thinks possibly it could be that or maybe some type of folliculitis.
she also thinks from some research that it could be a majorly bad bacterial infection.
i do have the soreness and everything,
but i don't have any flu like symptoms, or fevers, or headaches.
i have been freaking out about this and i just want a second opinion.
i had my partner look and he showed me and i looked up pictures and it looks nothing like herpes or any other std,
please help!

got only my tests back for gonorrhea and chlamydia today,
they are both negative. (:

i found out today he really did get tested.
we called his doctor today when we were together and they said he was good. he got tested last wednesday, and the last time we had sex was tuesday.

if the issues with your thighs get worse, be seen by your dermatologist promptly. Herpes and eczema don't always mix so well.
Actually give the clinic a call and see if your culture results are back yet. don't wait for them to call you. usually they are back sooner than 5 days.

yes, they got my urine for bacteria and they said i had a bacteria infection also.
i don't know if this could just be a huge messed up bacterial infection or what?

i just know they took cultures and it's killing me that it takes five days for results.

if this is a newly acquired infection of herpes, honestly the medication doesn't kick in to work this quickly. You will get worse before you get better :(
odds are that none of your partners nor your friends have ever been tested for herpes. odds are the partner that told you they got tested and was negative, didn't get tested either dear.
that is not a big dose at all. that is the standard dose regardless of size as long as you weigh 80 pounds.
did you also have other std testing done? did they also test your urine for bacteria?

i went and saw my doctor monday and they told me i had to wait five days for my result.
i'm on medication for genital herpes and it's really not helping me at all,
i've been on it since monday and i've been taking 2 grams a day since then.
i am a very small person and i would figure that it would clear up quick because that's really a big dose for me,
but the medicine isn't changing anything.

If you are having active symptoms you should be seen by your doctor. This could be anything from a fungal infection to something else. See your doctor or a dermatologist.
