is it herpes?

by byellow, Jan 07, 2009 11:21AM
The other day i was at a chinese restaraunt and drank straight from the cup instead of using a straw. I then realized what I had done and began to be paranoid about the chance of getting herpes. The next day i noticed a cluster of tiny white "bubbles" or bumps on the inside of the side of my lips, on both sides. I've been paranoid about it spreading and whether or not it's herpes.

a newly acquired oral herpes infection wouldn't show up a day afterwards.

as adults, oral herpes is almost exclusively transmitted thru romantic type kisses, not from drinking from a cup - especially one that was washed previously to you drinking from it.

If you've never had things like this before on your lips, see your provider for proper diagnosis. it could be many, many things.
