is it possibly something else

I was recently told by my doctor that i may have hsv2. I have always had hsv1 in my system as a kid ggrowing up. I never had an outbreak on my genital area before. I saw that the incubation periid for the first outbreak is 2 days to 3 weeks. I havent had sex in at least a month and a half. I was recently prescribed and took a lot of antibiotics and didnt treat for yeast. I have lots of wbcs in my urine also. Lots of itching and the area is whitish like a fungal infection would be with red irritation. It doesnt look like ulcers to me.

What were ur  igg test results ? Make sure it's not igm from reading the posts here .... Igm is useless.  If u provide the scores the gentlemen and/ or grace can help to see if u need confirmatory test( that's if your swab came back negative).   Will pray for you !
Have ur partner tested yet?

Let's summarize a bit here:
- Symptoms will usually emerge 2-10 days after infection as an initial outbreak. As this hasn't happened then technically you may be having a recurrent outbreak and thus could have had the virus a long time and for various reasons are having a bad outbreak (this would be rare).
- Visual diagnoses are not more than about 75% accurate.
- It would be useful for your husband to test to get the bottom of the issue faster. What was meant above is that if you have been recently infected then the blood test could be 'falsely negative' as your body hasn't produced a detectable level of antibodies just yet. Your husband's tests could remove all doubt if he is negative.
- If there is HSV present, then it could have been present in either of you well before you met.
- Make sure the culture is properly typed if it is positive, they can use the sample they have if they only perform a generic HSV culture.

There is a way to know actually. If the culture is positive and the blood is negative it is a very recent infection.

Well, don't get too worried until you hear back from her.

and fyi, if you DID contract herpes at the last encounter (1.5 months back) there's a good chance you could be falsely positive.  Sorry to have to say that... if you continue to get visible symptoms, have them swabbed ("cultured") within a day or two of them appearing for best results.

Good luck.
