is this herpes (HSV 1/2)

hello,
I have a few rashes/sores on my body one between my thighs another on my lower left leg and one on my right arm. I havent had any risk for the last 4-5 months and have not noticed these kind of sores before. I had a rather risky encounter over 4 months ago. Could these be herpes sores? Please help
Thanks

Have you seen a dermatologist yet?

It's way past time to keep thinking this is herpes and time to move on to other causes.

Thank you for your help,
I did the blood tests herpeselect and Igm both were negative, these were about 5 months after possible exposure....
Now about 20 days later I got another bump between my tighs similar to the first one but on the right leg this time and now I notice another appearing on my left leg closer to genitals this time but still between legs.

Can herpes reoccur so soon and another sore while the other is almost healed?
some people dont delvelop Igg antibodies, is that true?
Also i couldnt get PCR/culture as the sores appeared just before the weekend
what should i do/.?
Thankyou so much...

It's a very small percentage of folks who won't test + and there's absolutely no reason to suspect that you are one of them.  As I've said several times now - it's not going to be herpes all over this many body parts. Go be seen by a dermatologist and find out what is really going on so that you can get peace of mind.

I heard some people never produce antibodies and also this window period is confusing.
My rashes were on legs and arms and one bump between my legs 4 inches below the genitals.

I'm not sure why you think the herpeselect is not an accurate test? It's very accurate.

At this point you need to stop thinking herpes as the cause and follow up on it with a dermatologist. As I already said - it's not likely to be herpes on this many body parts and your negative herpeselect just confirmed that it's not.

You did not mention that these sores/rashes are on you genitals, if they are not you may be suffering from psoriasis or eczema.

You might want to get tested again and seen by a doctor. Your test came negative, but you obviously have symptoms of something. It can take longer periods of time for antibodies to show up in some people, but at 3-4 months those tests should be accurate. Perhaps this is bacteria related and not viral. My advice would be to see a doctor right away.

There was pain and itching for the first 2 days, now its mostly swelling or redness, no other symptoms. Is herpeselect not accurate this early? Thanks

You are probably fine. Do these areas itch or cause you pain? Is there discharge from them or your genitals? If not, you are probably fine. Stress can cause hives.

Thankyou for the reply.

I got negative on herpeselect 1/2 today but I heard this is not an accurate test.
So all I have till now is:
negative herpeselect at week 11
week 20: rashes appeared at 4 places including one in boxer area, 2 on legs and 1 on arm.
negative herpeselect at week 20+

I didnt notice the sores early enough to get a culture. What should i do next?
Thanks,

The best thing to do is to see your provider. These could be due to many things.  Having symptoms in that many places makes it unlikely it's due to herpes though.
