is this herpes???

It started as itchy mosquito bite like bump on  my right upper thigh  last wednesday while i was at work.It itched couple  of times.Next day i noticed 3-4 similar bumps around it that itched once in while. On 4rth day I noticed very small blisters about the size of pin heads, still itchy but no pain or tingling.Blisters will mostly linear.the rash grew about the size of 2-3 inches in the mean time after i kept scratching it.I went to my dermotologist who could;nt figure out what was that just to cover all bases she gave valtrex and topical steroids.I am married and my husband is the only person i am sexually active with. But 8 wks ago i had oral sex with almost no genital to genital touch with old  male friend who does not have any known  history of herpes.Any way i started valtres and topical steroid the same day and just after single application of topical steroid and valtrex my rash started to get better.Blisters were gone the next day and by3rd day my rash was cleared.I called my doctor again who thinks herpes does'nt clear that fast.I never had any history of any STD now i am freaking out.Is it herpes do u think.

since a lesion culture and typing evidently wasn't done the only thing you can do at this point is for both you and your hubby to get type specific herpes igg blood tests and go from there.

If you only performed oral sex and there wasn't any direct skin on skin contact then if this is indeed herpes - it didn't come from you recent encounter.
