I'm not sure if this looks like a cold sore. It is a little warm feeling but idk if that means anything. It wasn't there yesterday. I woke up this morning around 6 and noticed it. I've had three blood tests, all negative, but still having ongoing mouth burning sensations-- now this.

Any thoughts/ideas appreciated!

But youve had 3 blood test! Do you honestly think they missed it every time? No!

Yeah. It is making me anxious. I think one of the reasons I'm worried is bc I've read multiple places that IGG tests can still miss 1 in 10 cases and there have been people that blood test negative, but do in fact have hsv, get cold sores or have ghsv.

All i can say is that is not herpes related since you tested negative. Maybe your a bit anxious from the affair and is causing anxiety. If your concerned have a doc take a look. They can swab it for a culture.

Thank you for your reply

Yes, my last test was more than 3 months after possible exposure. Did you look at the pics?  What does it look like to you?  I've never had something like this before.  Could it be an irritated fordyce spot? Do fordyce spots even get irritated?  I'm just quite nervous about it. :(  can you even get pimples on your actual lip like this?  I guess it could be some kind of allergy. I just think it's weird that I would start having these issues after my possible exposure.

Hi, if your last herpes blood test was taken at least 3 months post any exposure it would not be herpes related. Could be a a simple pimple or a reaction to food or beverage.
