likelyhood of transmission

I have now had HSV 2 for a year and two months.  I have never had a breakout other than the original infection.  Occasionally, I feel like the virus is bothering me and when I feel that way I am tired, sometimes my right ear aches as it did during the original infection, and I get an itchy tingling feeling on my inner thighs right above the knee cap.  I have never had this feeling in the groin area.  I also may get an irritation in the corner of my mouth, exactly like I got during the original infection.  I felt this the last two weeks so I had a blood antibody test done and my AB level for HSV2 was 3.95.  Still negative for HSV1.  This is the highest that I have ever known it to be.  I feel this is because the virus tried to breakout but my system kicked in and prevented a breakout.  I feel better now.  So here is my question.  If the feeling I get on my thighs is the result of shedding or an attempted breakout, and if that is where I would have a breakout, then can I say that the chances of me transmitting the virus by normal intercourse very unlikely.  In fact can you say that without a breakout and without viral shedding in the groin area it is impossible for me to transmit the virus to my partner during intercourse?

Sorry I took so long and I really appreciate your help.  After two months my antibody levels for hsv 2 were 1.9.  after 6 months 1.5.  As I said after feeling bad I had them checked and they were 3.95.  I have always tested negative for hsv 1 by IGG tests but during my original outbreak I had a biopsy done by my dermatologist and it came back pos for hsv 1 and 2.  I also had the girl tested by IGG tests and she came back positive for both.  I am in the process of doing the western blott test because I am not sure I can transmit this virus.  I am saying this because I talk regularly to one of the worlds most informed doctors and even though there is no question in my mind that I was exposed there is a question as to what my body did during that exposure and what risk there is of me transmitting the virus.  This happened to me during the first contact with the girl after dating for two months and was devastating to me.  She claimed she did not know she had it and never had an outbreak or symptom and she was not having an outbreak.  Anyway, I am having the western blott test done and should know more soon  Thank you.

Hi, this is a bit confusing. You mention a first outbreak on your lip and ear pains but that would be for hsv1 not hsv2 and since youve tested negative for hsv1, those symptoms would not be herpes related. Is it possible to have oral hsv2? Yes but very unlikely.
Now we are about your boxer short symptoms as this is the area for hsv2 outbreaks and these symptoms like the knee tingling and such dont appear as a pending outbreak at all. There are cases of prodrome tingling where no sores appear and are called aborted outbreaks but should not last more than a few days and are very rare.
What was your first test number values? Having a 3.95 is considered positive but just falls outside of the false positive range. Im not convinced you have hsv2. I would suggest having the Western Blot for final confirmation.
