I hope it is okay to post this outside link.  I found the information helpful.  There are several pages (you can click through to each topic at the bottom of each page).  I'm not endorsing anything here, I'm in the same boat most anxious people are in.

I also didn't want to go to my doctor to get tested.  I went to stdweb.com and paid for a confidential test.  I'm not endorsing them either, but it was convenient.  I actually drove to the next town over to a lab they had listed so as not to chance knowing someone in the waiting room.

I told the person at the stdweb.com where I wanted to have the test done, I went to the clinic, at first they asked me to fill out paperwork, but I told them it was a direct bill.  They looked at the order, then said okay no problem, and I just went in, gave the bood sample and after 3 days, I was able to log in and read the confidential report.

Anyway, I hope this post is okay, and I hope it is useful to anyone!

We do love the herpes handbook.

I understand people are hesitant for anyone to find out about herpes, but a good std exam includes an exam, and an interpretation of the results based on history.
