Yes i would agree to rule out herpes as the issue.
Im not sure of the number its been a while but I think I should get retested to see.
Do you know the numbers involved as if youve never had an outbreak it may have been a false positive. Any test value 3 or below may very well be a false positive.
Oh and I was diagnost by my doc with a blood test and ive never had an outbreak. Ive had mri Cat scans of everything still, nothin.
But what test did you have to confirm your positive for both hsv1 and 2?
Ive done all the nerve studies at the Mayo Clinic all came back normal. Thats what has me wondering.
Hi, first of all how were you diagnosed with both 1 and 2 as its not common to have both. You mention ankle and stomach pain but these are not symptoms of herpes. People can get nerve damage from recurrent herpes outbreaks but its not common at all and the ankle feet area are part of the sacrum ganglion but unless youve had outbreaks there, the pain should not be connected to herpes.
You should see a nerve doctor and have some tests done to see what the issue is with your feet. MRI,s might be a starting point.
