need answers please

I have been to the urgent care twice and recieved 2 different diagnoses and 2 different meds to take care of a soar throat that started about three days after a sexual encounter. It was accompanied with several small ulcer like things on my uvula and two days after that i got a few on my penis. The first doc said oral herpes and gave me an anit-herpetic that did nothing. 3 weeks later a second doc said that if that medication did nothing it couldn't be herpes and by that time the tiny blisters on my penis were long gone, only having lasted 3 days themselves. That doc said it was Pharangitus and gave me antibiotics. They did nothing and none of my symptoms have changed. Soar throat, dificulty swallowing, on and off fever and ocasional soar neck and shoulder muscles that could be from regular working out. Any Ideas? I can't afford the urgent care for no reason again and I have no insurance or doc of my own.

Call your local health department and ask what your low cost options are in your area.

If you didn't have a lesion culture done of any of your symptoms originally, not too much you can do now for answers.  Since you don't have insurance, if you wish to pursue herpes igg blood testing, I'd wait until 4 months post encounter and just get the blood testing done then.
