oral sex and hsv1 genitally

-i have hsv1 genitally, take valtrex daily, have had the one initial outbreak that was mild.
-i'm assuming i got it from my husband. therefore, i'm assuming he has hsv1 orally. he has never had a visible cold
  sore.
-my question is:
1. should we not have oral sex any more?
2. if he gives oral does this put him at risk of getting sores on/in mouth?
3. assuming he doesn't have genital herpes but probably hsv1 orally, if i give oral sex am i putting myself at risk
     of getting sores on/in mouth?

since i found out i had the hsv1 genitally we stopped oral completely. i'm really confused about it. any input would be nice. thanks so much.
