outbreak of herpetic withlow / transmission question

My name is joe, and J have Herpetic withlow for about 5 years. Now J got an new outbreak (second one) of herpetic withlow and J am worried. J have a baby of 10 month. and before J noticed that there is an outbreak J petted my baby on the head with my hand. The outbreak in in-between fingers not at the palm. Now J am scared that J have transmitted it to my baby. Usually J am very very cautious but J did´t notice the outbreak because it is not a big one, it is very small. Do you think J have to be scared.

How were you diagnosed with herpes? I don't think you ever formally were, right?

This does not sound like a herpes lesion.

J am already diagnosed on HSV 2 and J get outbreaks at the genital area unregularly. This is the second outbreak at my hand. At the first outbreak of herpetic withlow J went to a laboratory to check. There result was positiv on HSV2 at my hand.
