pimple on my labia minora

pimple on my labia minora

20 years ago i was diagnosed with HPV virus with genital warts.  Never had another outbreak since treatments.  About a 10 days ago i found a hard pimple on the inside of my labia minora.  I tried squeezing it but it did pop and it didn't hurt, itch, or burn.  I had heard that putting vinegar on pimples dries them up, so i tried this.  I keep a cotton ball on it for about 4 hours which really burned and irritated the skin around it.  The pimple turn flat and white as a result.  After a second application of vinegar the pimple opened up and just appeared as if i had popped it.  I still had no itching, or burning or painful urination.  I just happened to have my annual GYN appointment and showed my doctor but didn't mention applying vinegar to it.  He took a culture, blood tests, and said it was Herpes Simplex 2.  He also said that he saw a blood like blister on my cervix that he will take a biopsy of in two weeks.  Since the pimple was hard (not like a blister at all), and I applied vinegar to it, is this really Herpes Simplex 2?  I've been married for 20 years and with the same man for 23 years?  Also he said the blood blister on my cervix could just be from trama from sex or a tampon.  Please help, I'm going crazy, crying all the time.  I get the results of the culture and blood tests on Monday but I can't wait that long.  I'm afraid my husband has been unfaithful to me!  Please HELP.

vinegar is an acid. putting it a cotton ball and letting it in place for several hours pretty much gave you a chemical burn.  stop the vinegar before you cause even more skin damage!!!!   I don't recommend ever doing this again!

A visual diagnosis of herpes isn't always accurate. At this point wait for your test results to come back monday and let us know what they are.  did they do the lesion culture of just the external lesion or did they also culture your cervix for herpes since there are also symptoms there?

Thank you for responding!  I recieved my results (biopsy of lesion and blood test) and both were negative!  You can't imagine how relieved I feel!  My GYN and I both beleive that the lesion was caused by the vinegar and the lesion is totally healed.  Oh, the PAP Smear also came back looking "great" in my GYNs words!   Now we're going to do a biospy of the cervix, but he said that could be caused by trama from a tampa or sex with the hubby!  I can only pray that is was from trama as my blood and lesion biospy were negative.  Although I do have a constant vagina discharge which from what i can tell from researching the internet is a sign of cervical cancer.

Thank you for your response and believe me, I will NEVER use vinegar again!  NEVER! Except to cook with!  LOL!  I will keep you updated with the results of the biospy when I recieve it.  Thanks again!  Best to you!

if you really want to cover your bases properly , hubby should get a type specific herpes igg blood test done too to make sure neither of you have herpes ( while it's on your minds ).  If this is a newly acquired herpes infection, it might not show up on your blood tests this soon.

constant discharge can be many things including hormonal and even too much of the "good" protective bacteria in our vaginas ( lactobacillosis ).  don't be overly conconcerned that this is cancer causing it!  stop back when you find out what caused your cervical symptoms so that folks following your post know what your final result was too :)
