possible herpes?

last week i noticed an open sore just below the tip of my penis on the bottom. i was seriously concerned it was herpes because it was scabbing over weirdly (almost looked like a cold sore). but people say it takes several weeks for a herpes sore to heal and i know from some friends that get cold sores that polysporin doesnt help very much (they get special creams). no my sore healed up very quickly with the help of polysporin but turned into a pimple type thing with a visible whitehead. i'd also like to add its not on top of the skin it almost has a base which is on a vein. i have general discomfort with my private area and have sudden itches without any visble irritation. if anyone has expirienced this of knows what this is please comment, it would be greatly appreciated.

you need to be seen monday and get a proper exam done. no more polysporin - it can irritate our sensitive genital skin.

odds are this isn't herpes but you'll need an exam and some testing to find out.
