How long after exposure do you have to wait to take the western bolt?
Symptoms still suck feeling uncomfortable all the time as well. I have to wait a little bit longer before I can do the wb been almost 2 months of these feelings starting to just lose hope and realize it's time to start learning to accept it
Hey Chris, the two scores are still low positive... So u should go for a WB to confirm.,, r u still on anti viral meds?
Btw....is ur symptoms better?
Thanks for ur prayer and still waiting for my result to come back... Today is 2 weeks since I took the test.
Still feeling uncomfortable ....7 weeks :(
Let me know how u r and God bless, S
Sorry for the delay scared4this yes I did retest my first test was actually 2.2 my retest was 1.5 doctor says it's a true positive since he feels I was exposed. I still pray for u that u have better news then me
Hey Chris, did u get retested? Been praying for u and hope u come back to update us. God bless, S
I also get a weird tingling and sometimes itchy feeling like my clothes and irritating my skin in my arms back legs and sometimes even in my sides is this related to herpes at all.
Thanks for the feed back I hate the waiting game it has me stressed and worried all the time about what it's going to be like
Valid question.
What Terri Warren has said is that for some strange reason, some people don't get their first noticeable outbreak for weeks or months after infection. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.
Thanks I'm just wondering I didn't get on meds till 5 weeks after exposure should I have had a outbreak by now?
Well, I'm not a doctor (or any type of clinician) so if you're doing right by him then that's the way to go.
Best of luck on your testing.
I see what your saying I asked my doctor about that and he said if I'm positive the meds will not make me negative it will slow the growth of my antibodies but if it was a false positive my numbers will go down but if they go up I'm positive. The discharge was clear and I saw the stain in my underwear
Don't bother testing.
Your result will not be accurate if you are still on Valtrex. You must be off the meds for at least 3 months to give your body time to respond to the virus and build a response. Right now, the Valtrex does the fighting for you and so your immune system will not have had the chance to respond.
Hope this makes sense.
And what kind of discharge were you having? Was it only during urination? Or did you see the stains in your underwear?
Update still no outbreak that I noticed it's been 55 days since exposure still on pill to scares to stop taking them still having on and off tingling in pens legs and *** as well as Burning from time to time on shaft and still having some on and off pain in lymph in groin and dull pain above genitals where ur hair is... I retest on Tuesday
Chris, if u r going to retest , u should stop the meds ( Medes some salter the test results) ... And then retest. Why don't u just go get a WB like me? I have the same exact symptoms and been 4 weeks plus. I am scheduled to get my WB this Friday... Praying for u and me!
If meds are not helping... U should stop until confirmed ur status.
I recalled ur hsv2 was 2.9 right? We're u positive for HSV 1?
Still having tingling in my genitals and some times a burning feeling. And legs still tingling and slight pain in area above my genitals and on and off sharp pain in my lymph nodes in groin area this has been going on for 5 weeks now any ideas I've been taking Valtrex for 3 weeks now
I'm now starting to have discharge is that related to herpes?
I planned on retesting at the end of the month I hope it is a false positive.. I just don't know what to expect from a ob and it's killing me
At 27 days its either a recent infection or a false positive. Re-test at 8 weeks to see if it goes up or now for a false positve. In my opinion a score of 2.9 is too high for a a new infection testing at 27 days. I feel it would be more like 1.5. Do retest.
also i should add, how long after did you test post exposure
Since youve never had an outbreak it maybe a false positive. Any test below 3.5 would need retesting to confirm. You very well may not have hsv2.
