hi, I would like to know if I have Herpes or not, my ranges are:
Herpes I - IGG: 1.60
Herpes II -IGG: 1.60
And the ranges of my boyfriend says:
HERPES SIMPLEX test HSV-1 aBlgG ( out of range 2.32 ) positive
HERPES SIMPLEX test HSV - 2 aBlgG ( out of range 1.35 H ) positive
We have taken the test in different countries but both tests says that we are positive because we are passing the number >1.00???
I am a little confused becasue I read in one post that the doctor said that over 3.5 is consider positive.....
please help me to know, becasue I haven´t had signs of the ill and although he had like a little ball in his penis
, for that we took the test, it doesn´t seemed the herpes or what the webs describes are the symptoms of the herpes...... he got more std test (Chlamydid, Gonorrhea, Syphills) and all were negative, to me seems something else, so we stopped the sex
both of you are hsv1+ . most adults do have hsv1 orally so no reason to doubt those results even though they are still on the lowerish side. most folks who have hsv1 orally, don't get obvious cold sores to know it.
you are both low positive for hsv2. we always recommend further confirmatory testing for the low positives like a herpes biokit hsv2 igg or a herpes WB blood test. honestly odds are neither of you have hsv2 but confirming your status is never a bad idea.
thanks Grace, we are going to take another blood test as you suggested, but one question more, and sorry for my english if I do a mistakes writing....,
what means WB blood test? because we both got a blood test, he in US and me in Southe America, it is another kind of test, I say it becasue I live in another country and I would like to ask for the specifc test.
What number in the range it is consider absolutely positive? I would like to know, because here the lab that took my test says that over 1 it is positive, I understand you are saying low positives, then I think it is not enough to consider we have Herpes 2 declared
What do you think could be the little ball in his penis
