recurrent zoster

A few months ago, I got the herpes zoster and it was through a stressful period of my life. Shortly after the virus disappeared it reappeared within a month. My doctor said it was rare but not impossible.
Now after 5-6 months, I'm feeling the symptoms again in my buttocks. I'm going through a lot of stress and  psychological issues, however I'm worried as to why this reoccurring disease, when I don't even get lip blisters.
I guess I must start the antiviral drug again for a third time.
Any suggestions will help.

I would doubt very much that this is the Zoster virus re-appearing for a third time,it is highly unusual for it to recur even twice much less three times.
I would be suspicious of this and lean more towards it being something else.
I think you need a culture taken of the lesions on your buttocks to define what is going on exactly.
