red spots

im a 29 year old man who about 7 months ago had protected sex with a sw..about two months after exposure the guilt hit me and i went to get tested for all stds possible. i got tested for everything ecxept for herpes because there wasnt any sings of it so the doctor didnt think it was nececesary. two days ago the base of my pennis got extremely red (no pain, no itching) today i noticed about 3 or 4 amall dots all over the head of pennis and the redness is still there.I havent gotten any other syptoms except for pain on my lower back...does it sound like herpes???? I would appriciate anyone's imput thanxs

This really doesn't sound like herpes since it's going away already but if you need the peace of mind you can get a type specific herpes igg blood test to see what your status is.

the breake out that i was worried about seems to be fading away....do I have to have a shown breake out on the area affected to get tested or can they test through blood???

sorry for the ignorance...how do they test for genitail herpes and how long does it take for the result to come in???

Sense its been over 7 months sense you had sex or whatever you should be able to take a herpes test & the test will pick up the antibodies. So if its postive the test will be postive. If your test is negative then your test will stay negative.
