I'm 39, never had any std before, just for background.

I just got a full set of tests done and came back positive for hsv2. Herpeselect igg 2.02. I have never shown any signs, that I know of, and am wondering how I should proceed. I have read some information that if that particular test comes back positive with less than 3.5 there is A good chance that it is a false positive. Is this really the case? Should I get a wb to be sure?

Thanks,
Confused

your hsv2 is a low positive and needs confirmed with further testing. we recommend the herpes WB as the next step. if your provider uses quest labs it's test #34534. it's a send out from all quest labs so if the lab you go to seems confused, encourage them to look into it further.
