sacral herpes leg pain

I have sacral herpes. I often have pains in my legs before recurrences. Nerve pain is also normal in herpes simplex or only herpes zoster? My doctor diagnosed me as having genital herpes.

nerve pain down the legs is very common with genital herpes recurrences.

just as a fyi - having hsv2, makes you even more likely to have contracted hiv from your former partner. I glanced at your questions in the hiv forum. It's a darn shame you didn't find the forums to get better advice 4 years ago prior to the hiv + partner :(  Definitely follow up with your hiv testing to get accurate answers before you have another partner!!

how were you diagnosed as having genital herpes? what testing was done?
