scared I have ghsv

I am a male, 23. On NYE I drank way too much and had relations with a girl who has ghsv1. We never had sex but rolled around naked and and fooled around a bit. That was Friday morning around 4am. Come Sunday I notice a line of tiny pimple looking bumps on the head of my penis just on the rim (circumcised). I thought it may have been my change of detergent so I switched. Well the bumps are almost nonexistent now, can only be seen under close inspection. But over the past few days I've had a pain in my testicles and groin as well as red swollen testicles. And now, this morning when I awoke, I my lower back was sore. I also got sick (coughing, fever, stuffy nose, etc) on Sunday. Initial contact was on the morning of 01Jan15 at 4am. It is now 12Jan15.

Best thing to do would be to get a dermatologist or an infectious disease specialist to take a look. Red bump near the penis glands can be irritated skin bumps which does occur there are mant conditions like balanitis and others but I am not an md and I cant make an accurate comment over the internet without seeing anything the fact that they dont go away and that they are not open ulcers/cuts imakes it unlikley for herpes but a visual diagnosisi and PCR swab is essantial, I have nothing more to say

Correction, under closer inspection the bumps are red. Its hard to tell considering their size

I havent heard herpes sores cant last for weeks wthout changing. It is tru that primary outbreak may last long but it has stages like burning, red patch, blisters, ulcers, crust and healing. I would get aPCR swab from the bumps but even that usnt very useful after 2 day od blisters which has passed ling ago. I cant say for sure but given there is 50-70 % chance maybe higher you have oral herpes because of the prevelance in the general population, you extensive relationship may have been what gave you oral herpes. I think the best thing to do is to be examined by a dermatologist or an STD specialist and shoudl the bumps occur again get them swabbed asap. Order a WB if you can these are all ai know of that you can do.  if those were hard bumps not filled with fluid that doesn change much over time I wouldnt worry much.Good luck keep us updated, and I am sure you should listen to fleetwood or life360 as they are way more informed than I am

No the bumps do not have fluid, nor did they have any.

It's been almost 3 weeks since initial contact when I got the test, the bumps are about 5 or 6 in a row with 2 bump just above the row. It's just under/on the rim of the head of my penis. And there's one more bump a cm or 2 away from the rest of them, still under/on the rim. There's no itching, burning, nor are the bumps red, tender or in pain. The only itching I have is from what I assume to be my Pubic hair growing longer. The symptoms don't make sense to me either but my concern is that A) my balls hurt, which from what I've read isn't a symptom, and B) Besides the flu like symptoms I experience earlier in the month, the bumps may be the only symptom I do get? If that's even possible. My main worry came from the pain in my testicles and bumps, but now that I've read more, I'm just trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Im pretty confused with this whole ordeal. I've shared drinks and smokes with plenty of people so I can't rule out that it's a prior hsv 1 oral infection. Didn't have much of a sexual history besides NYE due to an extensive relationship.

That does fall into the possible false positive range but kost likle you have annoral infection from childhood or past, serpconverting in2 weeks time and having a midnpositive value doesnt make sense to me but I would trust the swab and if the bumps havent opened up they are likely bot herpes as herpes blisters ulcerate pretty fast, Where are these bump? Do they have fluid? Also might soynd funny but you might want to ask your family your history of cold sores or your families coldnsores, if you had one in the past risk of getting it genitally with no sores present and such low risk activity would literally be 1 in millions

The test for hsv 1 showed as 2.70

It was igg specific, tested positive for hsv 1. I may have it orally. The bumps are still there, barely visible. But can a bump with no open wound be swabbed and actually be accurate? And the pain hasn't gone away, hard getting an apt in the military. Healthcare isn't as great as you'd think lol. I had the test on the 20th got the results the 21st. Sorry for not adding more details earlier.

What results? If it is IgM it is useless and should not be considered accurate. If it is non type specific igg it also can guve positive results. At this point even a type specificigg would not show the recent infection as it is too close to the encounter. Was the hsv1 or hsv2 +? You probably had oral sores as a child like most do. 60% of people have it and chances are those genital symptoms arent herpes at all, even if it is being positive 10 days after encounter means  you were infected before. Get you sores or whatever swabbed with a PCR based test. Gicen the extreme low risk of the encounter and positive result too soon means 99.99 % you werent infected from this one. If the test was igm you could still be seroconverting please post what type if test and results

I just had the blood test a few days ago and my levels came back high (positive). This all makes no sense to me.

Herpes sores clear up in about a week or 2 and are not under the skin bumps but topical open sores or razor type cuts, Have a test if your concerned.

That's the thing there may have been contact, we were both naked and I was on top of her

I would test for hsv1 as a baseline as you may have it and not know it so you dont freak about testing positive later on, this would mean you have a oral hsv1 from before, if you had a negative test before
Be sure to wait at least 8 weeks for hsv1&2 tests and test at 12 weeks if you are still concerned. Ask your std clinic or doctor for an IGG type specific test

Contracting herpes is by genital to genital rubbing esp when a sore is present. What your describing is not any thing to be concerned about at all.

She wouldnt be sick from a recurrence and honestly when couples have sex 3 times a week without a condom and I mean intercourse likelyhood of contracting hsv2 for a male is %4 per year given that ghsv1 sheds 10 times less and there was no intercourse there is no risk

If they were shedding do u think the chances are likely? I remember she saying she was sick the day after NYE when we woke up

Go see a uroligist ör a dermatologist for your condition, but there is not a realistic risk from the exposure you describe if Shè didn't have an  outbreak. Again even if you have something form Of hsv it is unlikely you contracted it from ğer that's night,
