side effects of 1st encounter Herpes 2

I discovered my husbands affair after 37yrs. of marriage a near 10 yr. relationship he saids no sexual encounters.  I have noticed wart on scrotum, he scratches penis, legs, buttocks in bed alot that its annoying saying its jock itch. even butt cheek little patches of bumbs bleed from scratching so much.  He has not gotten test results yet but is acting very nervous.  I notice that many times after sex I would get what I & doctor treated as yeast infection and it would go away, but I hated happening all of the time that I say to use condoms from now on about two years ago.  This last encounter  when I discovered the affair, I broke out in welts all over with itching, swelling even my throat swelled that emergency room treated with steroids and benydrel high dosage.  About 5days later a leasion on labia for about a week appeared and healed  told my doctor and tested herpes 2 and said I may have had it for years???  How can this be? Could my side effects be the first occurrance, could his test be negative or positive with his kind of symptons??  I am so confused and heartbroken with all of these discoverys.

Sorry to hear that you have been having such a difficult time lately :(

How did they diagnose you as having hsv2? Was it a culture of your lesion or a blood test?

Has your husband been tested yet? Also I'd cover your bases and get tested for all std's too.

Thanks for your comments Grace. My Dr. did std blood tests because I told her of my state of stress at the time and how tramatized I was. She immediately said I should be tested and have him to also, so far he is tragging his feet.  I actually had hives as big as welts and swellings on my face and body, my whole body seemed to ache especially my heart when I found out the affair and now this discovery and she thinks I may have had it for sometime and never knew to even be tested for:(

drag him by the ear into the doctor's office for testing.  This is a one sided picture you have so far and he's obviously got something going on.  

i can look at your herpes test results for you if you can post them here - ie hsv1 igg 4. 5 and hsv2 igg 3. 4 or whatever the results are.
