sighs

the other day i went to my docts and they tested me for stds.. my test came back positive for herpes which i was so shocked to find out. it surprised me even more when another girl that had sex with the same person and even had a baby by him tested negative. is it possible that i could have a false positive test? this guy was the only guy i was with for years if i may add.

give the clinic a call monday and ask them to read your results to you if you don't have them at home. I just need to see your numeric results - e.g. hsv1 igg 5.4 and hsv2 igg 3.9 or whatever they are. That way I can be sure you were properly tested and see if any further confirmatory testing is needed.

thanks!

Can you tell us what testing was performed?

If this was an igg test can you please get us the numbers.  IE: hsv-1 igg <0.90 hsv-2 igg 2.33.  This will help us in giving you more information.
