sign of herpes

Hey, so about a month ago (3 months after last sexual exposure), I started getting thigh burning, aching/cramping, and a little tingling.  It finally went away a week later only to come back another week and a half later.  This lasted for a week or less, went away, and then came back another week later, which is the present.  So basically, this has occurred 3 seperate times.  It started as slight burning in my lower thigh, spread to the other leg, and then traveled upwards.  Now I have groin/leg cramps and burning.  Does not burn to pee though and no visible sores.  What the hell is this?

it's 3 months after you last had sex prior to symptoms.

be careful of forums where folks with little to no medical experience try to convince you that everything has to be herpes. they add to your anxiety needlessly :(

Ok will do, but don't you have to wait 3 months after symptoms appear?  My symptoms appeared a month ago.  Or do you have to wait 3 months after exposure?

well if you are so concerned with herpes, why not just get a type specific herpes igg blood test to know your status?

Ok fair enough.  I'm just still kind of worried because a number of people over on i think ************ or something had this kind of burning in thighs and stuff only later to be diagnosed with hsv 2 when they finally get a sore years down the line.

this isn't likely to be due to herpes at all.

at this point you need to follow up properly on this with your regular provider to try to figure out what is going on.

Have you ever been tested for herpes before? Do you know your current status?

Herpes symptoms do not come and go within a week's time. What you are describing could be anything from a pulled groin muscle, pinched nerve, or spasm. If you feel that you may have been exposed to herpes with your last sexual encounter, get an IGG blood test. You would have pretty accurate results by now.
