signs n symptoms??

Is a single bumple usually a sign of herpes? It does tingle and itch when its coming out but usually the next day it stops. It never has open into a lesion or being more than one at a time and if it has it two and in two different spots. I am so confused in what this can be???

Thats good news. Below 1 is negative.   Talk to your doctor about hsv1 but if youve never had a breakout its most likely oral that was acquired at childhood.

I went to my doc yesterday and had the bump checked...she didn't see anything. It seems the bump disappears when I lie does anyways she said there doesn't seem to be anything to be concerned about. I asked for bloodwork which she didn't recommend ...said if you have no active lesion why stress yourself more than you need to?? If you had coldsores as a child of course it will come out positive and a blood test cant tell you where you have it so y open a can of worms and stress yourself out. I tomd her either way I would be stressed so I should have the results by Friday. I pray everything is fine. I will update you when I get my results.

Make sure its the herpes select type specific. Youll have to wait a week or so for the results. Please come back and let us know ok?

It is not always blisters but can appear as a bug bite or pimple but more often its is a small blister type with clear liquid.
Test are very accurate esp the IgG herpes select type or a culture taken within 48 hours after the leison appears . The swab is great to show a positive but is flawed to show false negatives.
Best to test 12 to 16 weeks after point of contact was made. Most of the adult population has HSV1 already contracted from childhood from kissing family members and such.

Hi and welcome. Herpes sores are more like a blister then shows up either in the genital or oral area, has a clear liquid and form in clusters then goes away in about  7 days. If you need to know you have hsv1 or hsv2 then get tested. Yours does not sound like one as comes and goes and comes and goes.
